It’s Game Day: Team USA Returns to the Ice Against France in Men’s World Championship

In the tournament so far, France has played three games with a record of one win, no overtime wins, one overtime loss, and one loss. On May 11, they suffered a 3-1 defeat against Kazakhstan, followed by a 3-2 overtime loss to Latvia on May 12. However, in their most recent game on May 14, they secured a 4-2 victory over Poland.

On the other hand, the U.S. has earned four points through their first three games. They began with a 5-2 loss to Sweden on May 10 but bounced back with a 6-1 win against Germany on May 11. Their last game on May 13 saw them come back from a 4-1 deficit after two periods against Slovakia only to lose in overtime.

In previous world championships, the U.S. and France have faced each other twelve times with the U.S winning all but once. Last year, the U.S secured a dominant 9-0 victory over France. This year’s tournament has seen seventeen players from Team USA contribute points with Johnny Gaudreau and Shane Pinto leading the way with four points each.

Looking ahead to tomorrow’s game, the U.S will go up against Poland at 8:20 p.m local time which is equivalent to 2:20 p.m ET
