David Iacono Joins Cast of New ‘Jurassic World’ Movie

David Iacono, an accomplished actor, has been cast in the new Jurassic World movie alongside Scarlett Johansson. The ensemble cast also includes Mahershala Ali, Jonathan Bailey, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Rupert Friend, and Luna Blaise. Production for the film is set to begin in mid-June in London, with Gareth Edwards directing.

Iacono’s recent work includes roles in Jennifer Esposito’s upcoming directorial debut, Fresh Kills, Netflix’s Dead Boy Detectives, and season two of Amazon Prime Video’s YA series The Summer I Turned Pretty. He has also appeared in Tubi and Village Roadshow’s thriller Cinnamon and played Eli Briscoe in season two of HBO Max’s The Flight Attendant.

The untitled Jurassic Park movie follows six previous movies in the franchise that have collectively earned over $6 billion worldwide. The film will be overseen by Universal’s executive vp of production development Sara Scott and creative executive of production development Jacqueline Garell. David Koepp, the original screenwriter of Jurassic Park and The Lost World: Jurassic Park, is penning the screenplay for the upcoming film. The movie is scheduled for release in theaters on July 2, 2025, and is executive produced by Steven Spielberg through Amblin Entertainment, with Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley producing through Kennedy-Marshall.
