Venezuelans in Argentina seek help from Pope Francis

Venezuelans living in Argentina have sent a letter to Pope Francis asking for his help in ensuring that all Venezuelans living abroad have the right to vote in the upcoming presidential elections scheduled for July 28th. The appeal aims to increase pressure on Nicolás Maduro’s government to fulfill electoral commitments and recognize the rights of Venezuelans. While around 220 thousand Venezuelans reside in Argentina, only 2.2 thousand are currently able to vote at the Venezuelan consulate in Buenos Aires.
