New leadership for technology department at Baker School District

Baker School District in Baker City has announced the appointment of Bob Duker and Matt Duman as new leaders of its Technology Department, starting from June 1. The district will be working with Chaves Consulting to provide staff for the department.

Bob Duker will be the Systems Administrator while Matt Duman will serve as Team Lead. This appointment comes after Justin Crego, who has been with the district’s Technology Department for nearly 2.5 years, decided to move on. Superintendent Betty Palmer expressed gratitude for Crego’s expertise and looks forward to working with Duker and Duman to further the district’s vision, mission, and goals in leveraging technology.

Baker School District is a nationally recognized district that serves over 4,700 students locally in Baker City and an additional 3,000 online students across Oregon. The district aims to create an innovative educational foundation for future Oregonians through collaborative efforts. Strong partnerships with local partners are believed to create vibrant communities that foster lifelong learners.
