Hamas health authority in Gaza reports death toll surpassing 28,000

The conflict in Gaza has claimed the lives of over 28,000 Palestinians since its start, with 117 people killed in Israeli strikes within the past 24 hours. According to the Hamas-controlled health authority, the total number of deaths reported is 28,064 and 67,611 have been injured. While these figures cannot be independently verified, they are generally considered to be accurate by the UN and other observers.
