A brand-new flag football team is set to launch in Quincy this spring

The Boston Brigade, a new professional flag football team, is set to launch its inaugural season in Quincy, Massachusetts. The team will play in the American Flag Football League (AFFL) and will be based at Veteran’s Memorial Stadium.

Former BSU quarterback James Cahoon showcased his skills at Holy Cross Pro Day on March 21, 2024, catching the eye of NFL scouts in attendance. His impressive performance put him on the radar of professional football teams looking for potential talent.

The Brigade is one of the first four professional flag football teams ever established and is gearing up for their first home double-header on May 11. They will face off against the Nashville Nighthawks and Las Vegas Lucky Sevens in what promises to be an action-packed event. Tickets for the games can be purchased through their official website.

The Brigade’s season will consist of eight games, starting on April 27 in Las Vegas and ending on June 15 in Nashville. The championship game will be held on June 22 in Dallas, capping off what is expected to be a thrilling season for the Boston Brigade. The team is confident that their launch aligns perfectly with the increasing popularity of flag football, especially with its inclusion in the 2028 Olympics. This move will not only bring more excitement to Boston’s sports scene but also add to its storied history in athletics.
