In 2023, the Fredericksburg Christian Health Center celebrated its 20th anniversary. This faith-based and nonprofit organization is dedicated to providing free and reduced health care to those who can’t afford it. The center has been making a significant impact in the community through its underserved program, which has received a grant from the Joe and Mary Wilson Community Benefit Fund of Mary Washington Hospital to support its operations in 2024. Additionally, the center was able to hire a full-time behavioral health counselor last year thanks to a grant from the Virginia Health Care Foundation.
According to its website at fchc.us, the center ministers “to the body, mind and spirit in order to bring about healing in all three.” For more information, interested individuals can reach out to the center at 540/785-8500.
