Iron Horse Vineyards, a family-owned estate winery based in Sebastopol, is celebrating Lunar New Year with a special bottle of brut. The winery, founded in 1976 and renowned for producing high-quality sparkling wines, has been upholding this tradition every year.
The unique, handcrafted bottles of Iron Horse wines have gained worldwide recognition and even served at the White House for 38 years. The winery is committed to evolving and experimenting with different types of bubbly for various occasions, such as the recent release of the “Dragon” brut to celebrate the Year of the Dragon.
The idea for “Dragon” emerged when a company in China approached Iron Horse with the goal of introducing California sparkling wine into the market. The brut is designed to complement Asian cuisine, making it a perfect choice for Lunar New Year feasts and celebrations.
In addition to producing exceptional wines, Iron Horse Vineyards is dedicated to giving back to the community through their “Gratitude” vintage. Five dollars from each bottle sold are donated to the Redwood Empire Food Bank. For Iron Horse, excellence extends beyond the quality of their wine to how they conduct themselves as employers and community members, making sustainability and ethical practices a key part of their mission.
