Chattanooga VA to Host Women Veteran Health Day event with Walk-In Mammography Services | Local News

On Wednesday, June 26th, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. ET, the Chattanooga VA Clinic will be hosting a Women Veteran Health Day celebration. The event, located at 6401 Shallowford Rd, Chattanooga, TN 37421, aims to recognize the contributions of women in the military while offering important health services to women Veterans.

One of the key features of the event is the walk-in mammography services available on-site. This allows Veteran patients to receive crucial breast cancer screenings without the need for prior appointments. Additionally, scheduled pap smear services will be offered to further support women’s health.

In addition to these services, Veterans attending the event will have access to a range of other health care services including blood pressure screenings, kidney health screenings, diabetes education, Hemoglobin A1C testing, immunizations, mammography screenings and pap smears.

To honor and celebrate the achievements of women Veterans, Retired U.S. Army Command Sergeant Major Mildred Jordan will be in attendance to share her experiences and insights on advancing through the military ranks. She will be speaking from 12:30 – 1:30 p.m
