The Kansas City Chiefs won their second straight Super Bowl on Sunday night thanks to a Mecole Hardman touchdown catch in overtime. Though Jim Nantz and Tony Romo were calling the television broadcast for CBS, Kevin Harlan provided an epic call of his own via a radio broadcast.
Harlan, who began his football broadcasting career as the voice of the Chiefs, was the play-by-play announcer for Westwood One Sports Radio’s Super Bowl broadcast on Sunday.
After Travis Kelce made some dramatic plays during the game, including a blowup with Coach Andy Reid, Harlan was on the call for the Chiefs’ ensuing drive, including the Super Bowl-winning touchdown pass to Hardman.
“It’s caught! Hardman caught the ball! The Chiefs have won! The Chiefs have won!” Harlan said on the call.
