Jay Moorman Quoted as Bluestone-Backed CTI Acquires Asymmetric Technologies

Chesapeake Technology International (CTI) has recently acquired Asymmetric Technologies in a strategic move to enhance its product portfolio and technology capabilities. Founded in 2011, Asymmetric specializes in open-source technologies, flight controllers, and waveform technologies tailored to meet the specific needs of national security and DOD clients.

This acquisition will enable CTI to provide more comprehensive software and purpose-built hardware products to its customers. By integrating Asymmetric’s IronClad and Whisper systems into its offerings, CTI aims to deliver cutting-edge solutions that address the evolving national security landscape.

CTI’s CEO, Jay Moorman, expressed excitement about the new opportunities this acquisition will bring to the company. “Asymmetric Technologies is an excellent fit for our business,” he said. “Their expertise in open-source technologies and waveform technologies will complement our existing offerings and help us better serve our Department of Defense and national security customers.”

This transaction marks CTI’s second investment in delivering new platforms to meet the unmanned aircraft system requirements of the DOD. As a portfolio company of Bluestone Investment Partners, a private equity firm focused on middle-market businesses in the defense and government services sector, CTI is well-positioned to provide cutting-edge solutions to its customers.
