Lions set to add Ben Niemann to their roster

The Detroit Lions are adding a veteran linebacker, Ben Niemann, to their roster ahead of training camp. This news was reported by Justin Rogers of the Detroit News, but no details about the terms of the deal have been disclosed.

Ben Niemann is a valuable addition to the Lions’ defense as he brings experience and versatility to their roster. In his career, he has played on both offense and defense, with four seasons on defense for the Chiefs and one season with the Cardinals. During that time, he started 21 games out of 86 appearances and accumulated 237 tackles, two sacks, a forced fumble, and six fumble recoveries. He also contributed 26 tackles in 11 postseason games with the Chiefs.

Niemann is best known for his work on special teams with the Broncos last season where he played in seven games and recorded two tackles. Overall, his experience in both offense and defense will make him a valuable asset to the Lions as they prepare for the upcoming season. It will be interesting to see how he integrates into the team and contributes to their success on the field.
