Devin Singletary of the Giants praises Brian Daboll as a bold play-caller

Devin Singletary, the New York Giants running back, recently signed with the team in free agency. Although he is new to the team, Singletary is no stranger to head coach Brian Daboll. In fact, Singletary was originally drafted by the Buffalo Bills in 2019 when Daboll was the offensive coordinator. He played under Daboll for three seasons before Daboll left for New York after the 2021 season.

During his time in Buffalo, Singletary gained a deep understanding of Daboll’s coaching style and play-calling tendencies. He believes that Daboll’s fearless approach to the game gave the Bills an advantage and he is excited to see that same fearlessness in action with the Giants this season. Singletary is also familiar with Daboll’s unpredictability and knows that he must always be on his toes when playing under him.

Although Singletary has not yet surpassed the 1,000-yard mark in a season, he had a solid year with the Houston Texans in 2023, rushing for 898 yards and four touchdowns while averaging 4.2 yards per carry. Singletary brings his experience and knowledge from playing under Daboll in Buffalo and his time with the Texans to the Giants, hoping to make a significant impact on the team this season.
