Dustin Johnson has won his third LIV Golf title by triumphing in the Las Vegas Invitational. Despite facing cold and windy conditions throughout the tournament, he birdied three of the last six holes to finish just one shot ahead of his closest competitors. With a final score of 12 under, Johnson claimed the $4 million prize money.
Talor Gooch and Peter Uihlein finished second at 11 under, with Matthew Wolff trailing by one shot. Paul Casey, Graeme McDowell, and Jason Kokrak all tied for fifth at eight under. Jon Rahm finished fourth on the leaderboard, just behind Johnson.
Johnson expressed his excitement about his victory, saying “It’s an incredible feeling to win again. The conditions were challenging, but I was able to pull it out.” He acknowledged the stiff competition he faced from other skilled golfers throughout the tournament.
Bryson DeChambeau shared the lead with Johnson after two rounds but ultimately finished tied for ninth at seven under due to a final-round four-over-par 74. Smash GC, consisting of Gooch, McDowell, Kokrak, and captain Brooks Koepka, took home the team title with a score of 33 under – seven shots ahead of Johnson’s impressive performance. This marks Johnson’s third LIV Golf title in as many years.
