Frankie Muniz to make NASCAR Xfinity Series debut at Daytona

Frankie Muniz, a well-known actor and racer, is set to make his NASCAR Xfinity Series debut on February 17th at Daytona International Speedway. He will be driving the No. 35 Ford Mustang for Joey Gase Motorsports, with Ford Performance serving as his primary sponsor. Muniz will run a limited schedule in Xfinity this season, with details about his schedule to be released at a later date.

In the previous season, Muniz competed full-time in the ARCA Menards Series, driving the No. 30 Ford for Rette Jones Racing. He finished fourth in the championship standings after posting 11 top-10 finishes and one top five. Muniz expressed gratitude for Ford and Ford Performance’s support in his NASCAR journey and excitement to join Joey Gase Motorsports for the upcoming race.

The No. 35 team has announced that it has acquired the 25th-place owner points previously held by the No. 24 Sam Hunt Racing Toyota. Team owner Joey Gase expressed pride in welcoming Frankie to the team and praised Muniz’s determination and focus. Gase looks forward to teaming up with Muniz as a teammate in the No. 53 National Crime Prevention Council car at Daytona, where he hopes they will have a successful start to their NASCAR Xfinity Series campaign together.
