Delicious Mocktail Recipes for Valentine’s Day from Tulsa Health Department

To prepare for Valentine’s Day, the Tulsa Health Department’s substance abuse prevention program and the StopDUI Task Force are urging residents who drink alcohol to do so responsibly and safely or try a fun mocktail instead. On Friday, February 9th, THD Prevention Specialist Kandice Lawson and Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Eric Kirby will present a Facebook Live mocktail tutorial for Valentine’s Day. During this tutorial, they will share delicious recipes for festive drinks to prepare for the special day.

If you’re looking for a non-alcoholic option, there are plenty of mocktails to choose from. One popular choice is the “Circus of Love,” which consists of one large carbonated beverage, marshmallow fluff, cotton candy, and sprinkles. To make this drink, roll the rim of the glass in marshmallow fluff, dip it in sprinkles, pour three-quarters of a carbonated beverage into the glass and stir in some cotton candy.

Another delicious mocktail option is “Stop in the Name of Love,” which includes sparkling hibiscus red grape juice, lemon-lime soda, orange juice, crushed ice, Valentine’s Candy Hearts, an orange wheel and 7-10 hearts. Simply add all ingredients together in a glass full of crushed ice and garnish with an orange wheel before serving.

For those who want something more fruity and refreshing on their special day Kandi-Coated Punch is perfect for you! It includes one 2-liter bottle of Sprite mixed with two bottles of Simply Lemonade with Raspberry Juice (52 fl oz each), one can of Dole 100% Pineapple Juice (46 fl oz), chopped strawberries and raspberries stir until everything is mixed well then serve!
