Health workers in London call for immediate ceasefire in Gaza while carrying small coffins

Hundreds of health workers gathered in front of the government headquarters in Downing Street to demand an immediate ceasefire in Gaza. The procession was led by Health Workers for Palestine and began at Westminster Bridge outside St Thomas’ Hospital. Pro-Palestinian flags and banners with messages such as “Stop Israel’s Genocide in Gaza” were carried, while the crowd shouted chants including “cease fire now” and “we believe we will win.”

The demonstration took place on the same day that silent processions were scheduled to take place in Toronto, Kuala Lumpur, San Diego, Johannesburg, Paris, Calcutta, Belfast and Dublin among other cities. The global events aimed to raise awareness and support for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.
