In a school shooting in Helsinki suburbs, three children injured and 12-year-old suspect arrested in Finland

A young man in his 20s was arrested in Helsinki on Tuesday after opening fire on three children in a school classroom. The incident took place at a school that serves students between the ages of 7 and 15, and police quickly arrived to apprehend the suspect.

The victims were all 12 years old and were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Parents of the children were notified immediately and rushed to the scene to be with their kids. Police have set up a crisis unit at the school to support those affected by the shooting, including students, teachers, and staff.

Interior Minister Mari Rantanen has expressed her sympathies for the families involved in this tragic event. She called it a “shocking start” to what has been a difficult year for Finland, but also emphasized the importance of continued efforts to prevent such violence from happening again.

This incident is just one example of similar tragedies that have occurred in Finland in the past. However, as a community we must come together to support those affected by this shooting and ensure that appropriate measures are taken to prevent future incidents from happening.
