Top 10 schools listed by Georgia tight end prospect includes Texas

Heze Kent, a Georgia product and four-star tight end, has revealed his top 10 school choices on social media. Among his choices are the Texas Longhorns and several other SEC programs like the Florida Gators, Georgia Bulldogs, and Tennessee Vols.

The Longhorns have seen strong offensive performances in recent seasons, particularly with the emergence of Ja’Tavion Sanders, leading to increased interest from tight ends wanting to play in Austin. As the Longhorns prepare for the 2024 season, they already have one commitment from a tight end hailing from Georgia in the 2025 cycle. Emaree Winston, a four-star prospect and the No. 12 tight end in the country, is set to join the team.

Kent, rated as the No. 7 tight end in the country and the No. 17 prospect from Georgia in the 2026 cycle, has named Texas among his top choices. With only one commitment so far for the 2026 class, the Longhorns secured a commitment from three-star athlete Raycine Guillory on January 20 of this year. Kent’s top 10 school choices were shared on social media along with his highlight film. This story was initially featured on Longhorns Wire.
