BJ Thompson, from the Chiefs, is unconscious but in stable condition following seizure and cardiac arrest

BJ Thompson, a defensive lineman for the Kansas City Chiefs, suffered a seizure and subsequent cardiac arrest at the team facility. His agent, Chris Turnage, visited him in the hospital and provided an update on his condition. Turnage stated that while Thompson is still unconscious, his vital signs are stable and his family is requesting continued prayers.

Thompson was attending a team meeting when he experienced the seizure. Immediate medical attention was provided by the Chiefs’ staff, who took him to a local hospital for further treatment. As a result of this incident, the Chiefs decided to cancel their Thursday practice but plan to resume normal activities on Friday.

Drafted in the fifth round last year, Thompson had only played in one game as a rookie before this medical emergency. Despite the scary turn of events, Thompson’s condition remains stable, and he is receiving ongoing care and monitoring from medical professionals.
