Zayne DeSouza of Loveland receives offer from Colorado

As a rising athlete, Zayne DeSouza has been gaining attention from colleges and universities. The Loveland High School player was recently offered a spot on the Colorado football team after an impressive performance at their summer elite camp. DeSouza is categorized as a tight end/defensive end, but it’s likely that he will play on the offensive side in college.

Last season, DeSouza had an outstanding year as a junior playing for the Class 4A Red Wolves. He gained 330 receiving yards and scored one touchdown in just 11 games. This impressive performance earned him recognition as a three-star athlete by 247Sports and made him the No. 8 prospect in Colorado’s 2025 recruiting class.

In addition to Colorado, DeSouza has also received offers from Northern Colorado and Washington State. Other standout players from the Colorado elite camp include Jeremiah Hoffman, Landon Wolny, and Jack Offerdahl. Hoffman is a rising sophomore from Naples, Florida, who earned an offer from Colorado after his impressive performance at the camp. Wolny is also considered a standout player, with many colleges showing interest in him as well. Offerdahl is younger brother of current Buffs running back Charlie Offerdahl and also received an offer from Colorado at the camp.
