Mark Ruffalo, the actor who has portrayed Bruce Banner/The Hulk in the Marvel Cinematic Universe for several years, recently confirmed that he will be returning to the franchise for the upcoming film Captain America: Brave New World. During a conversation with the Santa Barbara International Film Festival, Ruffalo didn’t reveal much about his role in the movie except that it will be great.
Although details about Captain America: Brave New World are still scarce, it is known that Anthony Mackie will reprise his role as Sam Wilson, aka Captain America. Harrison Ford has also been cast as Thaddeus Ross, replacing William Hurt who passed away in 2022. This has sparked speculation about the possibility of introducing the Red Hulk character into the film, as Thaddeus Ross has a significant history with Bruce Banner.
Ruffalo took a break from the MCU in recent years and appeared in non-superhero films such as Avengers: Endgame and What If…? He also lent his voice to She-Hulk. Captain America: Brave New World is set to be released on February 14th, 2025 and fans are eagerly awaiting more Marvel news including the release of Deadpool and Wolverine’s first trailer.
