Israeli Army confirms death of Hamas’ 3rd-in-command in recent Gaza attack

The Israeli Army has recently confirmed the death of Marwan Issa, a key member of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), during an airstrike carried out in the Nuseirat refugee camp in Gaza. Issa was the ‘number 3’ of Hamas and helped organize the attacks on October 7 that left over 1,200 people dead and 240 hostages. His death was announced last week by White House National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan.

In addition to Issa, another senior Hamas member, Commander Ghazi Abu Tamaa, head of the combat and administrative assistance staff, was also killed in the same attack. This information was reported by ‘The Times of Israel’. Israel launched its offensive against Gaza following the October 7 attacks. Since then, the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza has reported more than 32,300 deaths as a result of Israeli actions against Palestinians in Gaza. Over 420 people have also died due to actions by security forces and Israeli settlers in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
