Maxar Recruits Chief Technology Officer from Google

Maxar Technologies Inc. (NYSE: MAXR), a Westminster-based aerospace company specializing in satellite imagery, has hired Arvind Srinivasan to serve as chief technology officer for its Maxar Intelligence business unit.

Arvind Srinivasan has over two decades of experience in the tech industry and has spent the past 13 years working at Google (Alphabet Inc. (Nasdag: GOOG)). During his tenure at Google, he played a key role in developing some of the company’s first-to-market digital platforms, including Earth Engine and Cloud Platform. In addition to his technical expertise, he also managed large-scale infrastructure systems at some of the world’s most successful technology companies.

“Arvind Srinivasan has a proven track record of delivering innovative solutions in the geospatial sector,” Dan Smoot, Maxar Intelligence chief executive officer, said in a prepared statement. “His extensive experience will help us accelerate progress against key growth priorities, including further scaling our Maxar Geospatial Platform and continuing to evolve our industry-leading 3D and analytics capabilities.”
