2025 Wisconsin cornerback recruit commits to Minnesota, a rival school

Minnesota recently secured a commitment from cornerback Naiim Parrish, a three-star recruit in the class of 2025. This marked his second official visit to the program, as he had originally planned to visit Wisconsin on June 14. However, after an official visit to Minnesota, he ultimately chose to commit to the Gophers.

Parrish is ranked as a three-star recruit by 247Sports and comes in at No. 1,044 in the class of 2025, No. 84 as an athlete, and No. 31 in his home state of New Jersey. He joins a strong group of cornerbacks for Minnesota’s rivalry with Wisconsin.

Recently, Wisconsin secured a commitment from three-star cornerback Jahmare Washington, making it their fifth secondary commit for the class of 2025. Despite having a solid foundation with their current group of cornerbacks in their 2023 and 2024 classes, it is unlikely that the Badgers will take on many more cornerbacks in this cycle. However, Minnesota sees Parrish’s commitment as a significant win for their rivalry with Wisconsin.
