Helsinki Stock Exchange Opens Near Zero, SSAB Continues Decline

The stock exchange’s general index saw a slight increase of 0.1 percent, reaching a high of 9738.37 points. The most traded stock of the morning was Nordea, whose share price rose by 1.4 percent to 10.76 euros. Among the twelve most active stocks, half were up and half were down.

One of the standout performers in the morning was Sotkamo Silver, which saw its share price rise by 2.3 percent to 0.10 euros. Glaston also experienced growth, with its share increasing by 3.5 percent to 0.88 euros. Inderes raised Glaston’s target price to EUR 1.00 from EUR 0.95 and reiterated its buy recommendation.

At the top of the list was SSAB, whose more actively traded B share fell by 1.7 percent to 6.30 euros despite recent investments in Lulea, Sweden and Raahe, Finland expected to boost the company’s growth prospects in those regions as well as in other markets worldwide . Vincit announced changes in its management team to better align business responsibilities with different geographical areas and customer markets while Konecranes made an acquisition in port services by acquiring a German maintenance company Kocks Kranbaun . This move is expected to strengthen their presence in port services and provide new opportunities for growth for them .
