$40 million pharmacy hub in La Grange now open at Baptist Health

Baptist Health recently opened its new Central Pharmacy Services Center in Oldham County, with the goal of improving medication distribution and reducing prices. The $40 million facility located at 1051 New Moody Lane is expected to generate 200 new jobs and includes a warehouse equipped with robotic technology capable of filling 14,000 prescriptions in a 10-hour shift. Additionally, the center offers pharmacy technician certification preparation for students at the Arvin Education Center.

The facility’s fulfillment manager, Amanda Shelly, highlighted how patients will benefit from simplified prescription services such as mail delivery, which will help them save money and receive their medications faster. Cancer and rheumatology patients will experience quicker medication dispensing. The Central Pharmacy Services Center serves patients throughout the state and existing prescriptions can be easily transferred to the facility at any time. Patients interested in utilizing the services offered by the center can reach out to the call center at 502-565-0000. By removing traditional human interaction involved in medication dispensing, the facility aims to streamline the process and enhance efficiency for patients across Kentucky.
