Kyle, Texas requires 2,300 Kyles to break Guinness World Record

The El Rio Grande Latin Market in Dallas has recently set a new Guinness World Record with their 43-ton avocado display, made up of 301,000 avocados and weighing nearly 87,000 pounds. This impressive feat has put the market on the map and drawn attention from avocado enthusiasts everywhere.

Meanwhile, in Kyle, Texas, a unique event known as the “Gathering of the Kyles” is set to take place on May 18 at 1 p.m., with the goal of breaking the Guinness World Record for the largest same-name gathering. Last year, Kyle fell short of the record with 1,490 Kyles in attendance, but this year they are aiming for 2,326 participants in order to claim the title.

The rules for participating in the Gathering of the Kyles are simple – you must be named Kyle, spelled in that exact way, in order to be included in the official count. Middle and last names do not qualify, and variations of the name such as Kyler or Kylee are not accepted. The event is free for all attendees, whether named Kyle or not.
