Xavier Legette, Panthers rookie WR, recovering from hamstring injury

Panthers coach David Canales has announced that first-round receiver Xavier Legette is currently sidelined from minicamp due to a lingering hamstring injury. Although Legette missed a majority of organized team activities due to his injury, Canales assured that it is not more serious than initially thought. The team is being cautious in their approach towards Legette’s recovery and return.

Canales explained that they are not taking any chances with Legette’s hamstring injury as the time until training camp draws closer. He emphasized the importance of not rushing the recovery process and risking further injury. If there was a game this week, Legette would likely be practicing and preparing, but the team is focused on getting him fully healthy for the upcoming season.

During his final season at the University of South Carolina, Legette had an impressive 71 catches for 1,255 yards and seven touchdowns. The Panthers have high hopes for Legette and are taking the necessary precautions to ensure he is fully recovered and ready to contribute when the regular season begins.
