News Flash: Port Arthur Health Department Now Offering Saturday Immunization Clinic

Parents and guardians are being urged by the Port Arthur Health Department to begin planning for their children’s immunizations in preparation for the upcoming school year. To help with this, the Immunization Office is hosting several clinics on Saturdays, including one at Memorial High School during the Back-2-School Fun Fest on July 20.

These clinics are aimed at helping students get their required immunizations in advance, and parents are advised to bring their child’s immunization record for reference during the clinics. In addition to the regular clinics, there will be a special clinic at Memorial High School during the Back-2-School Fun Fest on Saturday, July 20.

To help with planning and preparation, parents can download a PDF document of the FAQs which covers requirements for pre-kindergarten, childcare, and students from kindergarten through 12th grade. By taking advantage of these clinics and ensuring their child is up to date on their immunizations, parents can help their child start the school year on the right foot and protect their health. It’s important not to wait until the last minute – plan ahead and prioritize your child’s health.
