In the consolation game of the National Christian School basketball tournament, Chautauqua Christian Academy’s Defenders staged a remarkable comeback from a five-point deficit in the final minute of regulation. The team’s resilience and skill were on full display as Marcus Ryan and Sawyer Lynn scored crucial baskets to force overtime. During overtime, the Defenders maintained their momentum and secured a hard-fought 67-60 victory over Faith Christian of West Virginia.

Lynn’s impressive 19-point performance, including three 3-pointers, was a key factor in the team’s success. Meanwhile, junior Marcus Ryan stood out with an outstanding 34-point showing, while Hunter Edwards contributed 10 rebounds and Kayden Peterson excelled on defense throughout the season. Both Ryan and Lynn were recognized for their standout performances by earning spots on the All-Tournament team.
