National World War I Museum and Memorial to open for Memorial Day

The Memorial Day Ceremony at the World War I Museum and Memorial in Kansas City, Mo. is sure to be a memorable event. At 10:00 AM, guests will gather in the Memorial Courtyard for a public program featuring dignitaries and a keynote address from Lt. General (Ret.) Wendy M. Masiello.

The day’s events will continue with a Bell Tolling Ceremony at 12:00 PM, honoring the men and women who gave their lives in service. And at 2:00 PM, visitors can witness the Walk of Honor Dedication and Ribbon Cutting, as the memorial unveils its updated granite bricks that have been moved to the sides in order to preserve them for years to come.

Active duty military members, veterans, and their spouses/dependents can enter for free with valid ID.
