Quonset Business Park Exceeds 14,000 Job Milestone

Rhode Island’s Quonset Business Park has reached a remarkable milestone by surpassing 14,000 jobs, exceeding the goal of 13,000 jobs set just 15 months ago. The park’s growth was praised by Governor Dan McKee as a key driver of economic activity and job growth in the state. He attributed the success of the park to strategic investments that attracted new companies and created employment opportunities for local residents.

The Quonset Development Corporation revealed that upgrades and expansion at the Port of Davisville were responsible for much of the growth in job numbers at the park. The corporation also announced plans to invest in the Port of Davisville expansion, upgrades, and wind farm cable project, which are expected to create hundreds of new jobs in Rhode Island and Connecticut.

House Speaker K. Joseph Shekarchi commended Quonset Business Park on its achievement of 14,000 jobs and described it as a vibrant economic center. Senate President Dominick Ruggerio also expressed support for the park’s rapid expansion and highlighted its reputation as one of the top business parks in the nation.
