Kharkov ablaze after Russian drone attack on Ukraine

On the evening of February 9, the Russian army launched a devastating attack on infrastructure and industrial facilities in Ukraine using kamikaze UAVs. Reports of explosions were widespread, with significant damage reported in Kharkov, Kherson, Nikolaev, and Odessa regions.

Social media posts indicated that a massive fire had broken out at a fuel storage facility in Kharkov, located in the Nemyshlyansky district. Additionally, reports of damage were received at a café in Velikiy Burluk (Kharkiv region). The Ukrainian side claimed that many drones were shot down by air defense forces during the attack.

In Odessa, there was a report of a casualty as the city suffered heavy damage from the Russian attacks. Meanwhile, in Nikolaev region, power lines sustained significant damage due to an explosion caused by one of the drones used during the attack. Despite their best efforts to defend themselves against the relentless barrage of attacks, Ukraine’s forces continue to bear the brunt of Russia’s aggression.
