Limited Seats Left for Spotlight on Small Business Event

On April 1st, the City of Safford will host its first Spotlight on Small Business event at the Manor 415 Convention Center. The event is almost sold out, with only a few seats left to reserve. This is an excellent opportunity for small business owners to engage with city officials and discuss ways the city can better support their success.

The event will feature Safford Mayor Richard Ortega, City Manager John Cassella, and other city staff, who will provide an opportunity for small business owners to share what’s working well and what improvements could be made. Attendees will also learn about business licensing requirements, the role of the city’s Planning and Community Development Department, and new reporting requirements for the Financial Crimes Network of the IRS.

Even seasoned small business owners may benefit from this event, as Mayor Ortega highlighted the possibility of learning something new. The event will kick off with a continental breakfast and networking at 7 a.m., followed by a 90-minute program at 7:30 a.m.

The event is free to attend but requires reservation through Eventbrite online. It is sponsored by the City of Safford, the Graham County Chamber of Commerce, the Small Business Development Center at Eastern Arizona College, and the Safford Downtown Association.
