Bill Nye, the Science Guy, to appear in Central Texas for April 8th’s total solar eclipse | San Antonio

Bill Nye “the Science Guy” is coming to Central Texas for the total solar eclipse on April 8. The Planetary Society, led by the 68-year-old TV personality and science educator, will host a two-day Texas Hill Country camping experience on April 7-8 in Fredericksburg. Tickets are priced at $325 per person and cover daytime programming from Sunday through Monday night. Children aged 5 and younger can attend for free.

The Eclipse-O-Rama event will include various speakers, activities, food, and the opportunity to watch the eclipse with Nye himself. Speakers include YouTuber Mark Rober, science educator Science Bob, and Planetary Society radio host Sarah Al-Ahmed.

To attend the festival, ticketholders must become members of the Planetary Society by paying a one-time annual fee of $50 during the registration process. The festival will take place at 3319 Lower Crabapple Road. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit eventscloud.com.
