Sports Streaming Giant Unveils New Name as Disney, Fox, Warner Bros. Discovery Join Forces

Disney and other media organizations are increasingly entering the streaming space to reach consumers who are shifting away from cable TV. As a result, Venu Sports, a sports streaming home, will feature live sports content from ESPN, FOX, and Warner Bros. Discovery. The CEO of Venu Sports, Pete Distad, expressed excitement about the platform, stating that it will provide sports fans outside of the traditional pay TV ecosystem with access to a wide range of live sports in one place.

Venu Sports is being built using the latest technologies to engage and entertain sports fans seeking one-stop access to live games. The platform is scheduled to launch in the fall and will offer audiences the opportunity to stream live sports from top leagues and teams all in one place. In addition to Venu Sports, Disney and Warner Bros. Discovery announced plans to launch a new bundle service this summer, combining Disney’s Hulu and Disney+ streaming services with Warner Bros.’ Max app.

This move comes as consumers are increasingly looking for more convenient ways to access their favorite content without having to subscribe to multiple streaming services. With Venu Sports, they can enjoy live sports content from top providers like ESPN, FOX, and Warner Bros. Discovery all in one place. Copyright © 2024 KABC Television, LLC. All rights reserved.
