Joliet Business Hit by Over 30 Bullets in Daytime Attack; Suspect Arrested

In the aftermath of a violent incident that occurred on Richards Street in Joliet, where more than 30 bullets were fired at Splish Splash Laundromat and two empty vehicles, an arrest has been made. Latrell Woodall, an 18-year-old resident of Bolingbrook, has been charged with aggravated discharge of a firearm, aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, and possession of a firearm by a person not eligible to obtain a FOID card. He is currently being held at the Will County Jail.

On April 26th, after conducting an extensive investigation into the shooting that took place on April 18th, Joliet police detectives identified Woodall as the suspect. An arrest warrant was obtained for him. Woodall was apprehended by the U.S. Marshals Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force at his residence in Bolingbrook on Wednesday morning.

Following the arrest, a raid was conducted at Woodall’s residence by Joliet Police Detectives, the Fugitive Task Force, and the Will County Sheriff’s Office. During this raid, a rifle and ammunition were recovered. The Joliet Police Department expressed their gratitude to all agencies involved in the arrest and seizure of the weapon.

The case remains under active investigation as stated by Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English. The authorities are currently working diligently to gather more information about the incident and any possible accomplices.
