The US cricket team has made history with a stunning victory over powerhouse Pakistan in the Men’s T20 Cricket World Cup on Thursday in Dallas. This thrilling win was considered one of the biggest upsets in cricket history.

The tournament marks the first time that the United States is co-hosting the World Cup, along with the West Indies. Pakistan, the runners-up at the 2022 tournament, is ranked No. 6 in the world, while the US team is ranked No. 18.

Nitish Kumar’s match-saving boundary forced a Super Over, where the United States scored 18 runs. Saurabh Netravalkar secured the win by limiting Pakistan to 13 runs. USA captain Monank Patel was named the player of the match.

The US team continued its success in the tournament by defeating Canada in the Group A opener and currently leads the group with 4 points. India, also in Group A, is a favorite to win
