According to Golfweek, Tiger Woods will debut a new looper at this week’s Genesis Invitational. Bennett, who has caddied for several high-profile golfers in the past, including Matt Kuchar, Sungjae Im and Davis Riley, will be on the bag with Woods at Riviera. However, it’s important to note that Bennett isn’t necessarily a permanent solution for Woods’ bag.
Woods recently parted ways with his longtime caddie Joe LaCava, who took on more of a full-time role with Patrick Cantlay last year. Woods’ business partner, Rob McNamara, caddied for him at the Hero World Challenge and PNC Championship. It remains to be seen if Bennett will be able to provide the level of support and guidance that LaCava did during their time together.
Despite this uncertainty, it’s clear that Woods is determined to continue competing at the highest level. The Genesis Invitational presents an opportunity for him to showcase his skills and potentially win his first tournament since 2013. With Bennett on his bag, he may have just the right teammate by his side to help him achieve that goal.
