A tragedy has befallen the Serenade of the Seas, a Royal Caribbean cruise ship that is currently on its nine-month-long Ultimate World Cruise. On February 12th, Royal Caribbean confirmed that a passenger on board had passed away. The company expressed its deepest sympathies and offered support to the deceased passenger’s loved ones. However, they stated that they would not be sharing any further information at this time.

E! News has reached out to Royal Caribbean for comment but has not yet received a response. The initial report of the passenger’s death came from TikToker Adita, who posted a video about it before deleting it. People reported that she mentioned an elderly lady passing away on the night before and witnessing her body being taken out.

The Serenade of the Seas set sail on December 1st, with tickets priced at $53,999 for the 274-night Ultimate World Cruise. The cruise became a viral sensation, with many passengers sharing their experiences online.
