Enhancing Worldwide Health – Foreign Policy

The 77th World Health Assembly in Geneva will be attended by experts one year after a landmark resolution on improving diagnostics. Despite the advancements made, access to diagnostics remains a significant challenge, particularly in low- and middle-income countries. Fragmented supply chains and market barriers continue to hinder progress.

Diagnostic network optimization (DNO) is a crucial process used by many countries to identify gaps, limitations, and inefficiencies in healthcare delivery. However, much of the information collected during these processes is not fully utilized, hindering progress. To address this issue and improve pathogen detection, Foreign Policy and Cepheid will host an event on May 30th to discuss ways to leverage DNO insights.

The event will take place from 7:30 AM to 9:00 AM CET on May 30th, 2024. During the event, experts will discuss ways to strengthen global health systems, achieve universal health coverage, and combat antimicrobial resistance. The event aims to provide valuable insights into how DNO can be optimized for better outcomes in healthcare delivery.
