The battle for clear and transparent healthcare pricing in the United States

The fight for transparent health care prices in America is the focus of today’s On Point program. Only about 36% of hospitals are fully complying with the law requiring them to post their prices online, which has prompted Congress, employers, and unions to demand changes.

Guests on the show include Cynthia Fisher, founder and chairman of, Molly Smith, group vice president for public policy at the American Hospital Association, and Adam Beck, senior vice president for commercial employer and product policy at America’s Health Insurance Plans. Also featured are Kevin Lyons, director of member benefits for the New Jersey State Policemen’s Benevolent Association, Zachary Bessler, a software engineer, and Jeff Millhollin, president and CEO of Pacific Steel & Recycling.
