Abstract Guidelines for 2024 Global Health Week at MUSC

The MUSC Global Health Week is seeking abstracts for its poster session in all areas of global health. In order to be accepted, the abstracts must be written in narrative form and not include any tables, charts, or graphs. The maximum word count for the abstract is 300 words, not including the title.

The submitting author is expected to attend the event and present the poster, and must obtain pre-approval from any co-authors before submitting the abstract. In order to be accepted, abstracts should be well-organized, concise, clear and well-written. They should include a problem statement and an approach to solving it. While providing preliminary results is suggested but not required, results will be required for the final poster.

Authors must also establish a clear connection between their work and outcomes related to global health. Submissions will be evaluated based on originality, presentation, relevance, quality and clarity by a committee of experts in the field of global health. Those accepted will receive an acceptance notice by March 29 with detailed instructions on how to prepare their poster for display at the event.
