NOLA French Quarter to Host World Naked Bike Ride 2024 | Entertainment and Lifestyle

The World Naked Bike Ride is a global event that aims to raise awareness about the vulnerability of cyclists on the road. This year, New Orleans will host its own version of the ride, attracting hundreds of participants in various states of undress. WNBR cyclists are encouraged to be “As bare as you dare,” mirroring their exposure to danger in traffic with their anatomical nudity.

The slogan of the event is “Can You See Me Now?”, emphasizing the importance of visibility for cyclists on the road. Spectators along the route are asked to respect the riders’ space and not touch them. This year’s ride is scheduled for June 8 at 4 p.m., an hour earlier than originally planned. The exact route has not yet been announced, but it typically starts at Mickey Markey Park, travels through the French Quarter, and ends back at the starting point.

For more information on the event, visit the World Naked Bike Ride—NOLA Facebook page and check for updates as the date approaches. Whether you choose to wear a Speedo, a skimpy bikini or even just a couple of strategically placed Band-Aids, remember to be safe and visible while riding your bike on the road.
